Question 98 Jeep 4.0 pops out of 4 wheel low

Hey everyone, was wondering if anyone can help me out. I went for a run for the first time last week and when I tried to put my Jeep in 4 Low, it would pop out when I'd start accelerating. 4 high works fine and doesn't pop out. But, whenever I used 4 low, it would pop out. Any suggestions anyone?

Thanks a lot.

If mine isn't engaged properly it will do the same thing. A 2-4 mph roll with the trans in neutral usually does it. When it's in all the way the transfer case shifter will stop firmly and not have any give when it's at the top. Hope this helps!

When mine did this, it had mud packed around the back of the linkage on top of the skid plate.

X3 on linkage. I've heard the Novak cable shifter is pretty sweet. You might look into it.

Adjusted it with a prybar

Mine only needs a 13mm wrench.
