I'd expect around 20 on a good tune, 31s or less and not driving aggressively. "Driving aggressively with the 2.5"

I'm goin' for 25 hwy, with a few mods and paying attention to the tune, definitely limited by aerodynamics though haha. And no I don't expect to make my money back in gas savings, but I'll have a livelier I4 for sure.

With my 98 6 cyl. 5 speed I get 18.5 mpg. Am pretty happy with that. Has 30 x 9.50 tires

My 02 with the 4cyl and 31's 4.88 gears was getting 12mpg on a good day way under powered. Now with my gm 5.7tbi and 700r4 auto I can pull 21mpg with 33's as long as i can stay easy on the skinny pedal. That is without my torque converter lock up installed I hope to gain another couple mpgs on the highway.

man that sucks..i guess my throttle body spacer and my snorkel give me a little extra mpg..cause i'm squeezing 15 out of my 01 with 35's and 4.88's on it..dang

Yes I did not change from stock gearing because I waited till after my v-8 install to check mpg and rpm with new motor. I will be stuffing my 8.8 and hpd30 with 4.10's If the day comes that i put 35's on it will still be fine. This is my DD and I play at silver lake dunes a few times a year and two tracks with alittle mud thrown in.

What year ride do you have, and did the install go pretty smoothly? Next year i plan on installing a V8 and new D44 axles..just wondering if you had any tips to make the install go smoother?
