99 Wrangler Sport

Howdy folks! New member, and to say I'm excited is an understatement! Just purchased a 99 Sport, with very low miles, and overall in very good condition. Let the games begin........I want to remove the front seats, to clean them, but not the frame/mount holding them in place. There was no manual included, so I'm not sure from just inspecting them, how to do it....any suggestions?

Thank you in advance!

I think it is easier to just remove the brackets from the floor to get underneath the seat to the bolts holding the seat to the bracket....three regular bolts and I torx on each side. I believe the torx is either a 50 or 55 bit.....should take less than 30 minutes to remove both....hope this helps

Thanks FB! I just assumed there was a latch, or perhaps a release, that would allow seat removal without detaching them from the floor. Thanks again!
