a "BIG IF" from AEV...

its for the heat reduction hoods for a stock tj...

that sounds pretty cool. they should do an autocad rendering of what they are thinking of producing and get feedback from prospective buyers.

it will be just like the highline hood, but the same specs as the stock.

What happens when it rains? Does water pour down on the engine?
Or are they only good in fair weather?

Well if the jeep is stationary, you'll have some water running down. but it will be right behind the radiator. not a big deal IMO. the engine gets wetter when you wash under the hood.

If the jeep is moving the air moving out of that vent should be enough to keep the majority of water out.

My other car has louvers in the boot over the engine (mid engine). when it rains water gets all over the motor. but its not a big deal.

what happens when you go mudding? does the engine stay clean? i would consider it an auto wash feature lol.
