X2 you'd be really pizzed when you replaced the blower motor only to find it did the same thing. And double pizzed when the store tells you no returns on electrical items.
Take a little time to look things over, instead of guessing. Guessing gets expensive.
The resistor is a common failure. But just for S&G's pull the control head too. Just for your sake. The blower switch can sometimes puke too. Easy to tell, connector will usually be burnt.
