A/C Squeels

Okay, so i have a heavy foot on the accelerator. When the A/C is on and i get to 3rd gear, It makes a real loud squealing/screeching sound and the air stops blowing. If i let go of the gas and wait it out, it usually stops in about 10 seconds. Sometimes it will also do it when i get to the higher RPMs. but only does it when the A/C is on.. Please help.
Im not sure if this makes a difference but The Freon leaks out within a day of recharging.
IF anyone could tell me why it is doing this and could possible lead me in the right direction i would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advanced

1st off i think i'd get a squirt bottle of water/soap and hunt down the leak.
mine used to squeel when ever i turned on the air or heat in any setting but the floor. mine turned out to be a belt tension adjustment-it needed to tightened up.

Kinda sounds like the belt but leaking your coolant out that fast it could be that the compressor has lost enough lubricant to make it screech. Have you tried to fix the leak? Do you add lubricant when you charge with R134?

Thanks, and no with the lubricant, i usually just hook the hose up while the engine is running and fill it up. Filled it up to about 40PSI, and the next morning it was down to about 10 psi

A lot of the R134 coolant has lubricant in it. A full charge is about 1.25 lbs. I'd figure out where the leak is first, the air-conditioner system also produces heat if it's on and working in the winter.

My ac was squeeling before the compressor took a crap on me. It shouldnt stop blowing like you said. It should just stop blowing cold. What year is it? If its a late 90's your leak is probably in the evap coil.

Yes, that what my buddy said, he has the whole set up to detect where it is leaking from, just haven't checked it out yet. he thinks it is the evap core.
