a couple unrelated upgrade/mod questions....

I currently have 6" Bushwacker? flares on the jeep from the previous owner, but they are pretty cheap feeling and the screws/bolts that hold it on are actually being pulled through the plastic, making them pretty unsecure. Anyway, was looking at the Warn trail flares (Warn 39850 - WARN 6" Trail Flares for 97-06 Jeep® Wrangler TJ & Unlimited - Quadratec) I like the looks of them - anybody with 1st hand experience? They are pricey, but I'd rather throw a little more down now than have to worry about replacing the replacements again.

Now for the unrelated question - I like to listen to music - loud, also cant wait to ride with the top down, but with the anemic (at best) stock stereo setup Im interested in upgrading. Anybody upgraded audio components in their jeep? Im not interested in adding a sub as cargo space is pretty limited already. Would like to be able to replace the stock speakers and/or head unit to improve the quality and power of the stereo. This sound bar http://www.quadratec.com/products/14118_000_07.htm looks interesting any 1st hand experience?

Finally, anybody know of a good place to find touch-up paint? Jeep is a 2000 4.0 sport, dark (midnight?) blue.

Thanks and sorry for rambling....

BTW - I dont have the stock head unit - I have a Sony single disk 4x50w, so I suspect the factory speakers are the weak link...sound reasonable?

sound bar is a must. swap the speakers is a must. I dont know what u do with your TJ, but i HAVE BEEN LOOKING INTO MARINE GRADE speakers since I tend to not slow for water and a summer of no doors and no top, I can see them getting prety wet.

PS sorry for the caps

if u have sound bar thats fine... just replace all four speakers with newer speakers... put an amp and a new head unit on them to make a great sounding system..

I changed out my sound bar speakers for a 6 1/2's and made the adapter plates to put 5 1/4's in the dash... love it.
