Cool a few lift questions

I have a 98 TJ sport. It is my primary driver so I dont want to get too crazy with it. Im thinking about a 3 or 4 inch lift but needing some advice.

1. how high can I go without replacing things such as pitman arms, and sway bars.

2. how big of tires will the jeep sit if it is lifted 4 inches

3. how much trouble am I looking at if I install the lift myself. I know most coil springs have a lot of compression on them. But I dont know about Jeep coils. Ive only dealt with 70's model CJ's

1) You can put in a 2 inch suspension lift or budget boost along with a small body lift and you can run 33 inch tires. However, if you disconnect and flex a lot you will get some rubbing. If you go over 3 inches of suspension lift you will need to do more mods like sye, drive shaft and track bars, etc. You do not mention how much money you are wanting to spend and that can be a big factor.
2) 33 inch.
3) It can be done in your garage if you are knowledgeable about this type of stuff and have some tools. If you start doing the drive shaft mods, etc you may want someone else doing the work.

I would go with a 2.5 ome suspension lift and a 1" body. This makes room for skids later and with a 1" mml you won't have vibes to worry about. Will clear a 33" tire and maintains a low center of gravity!

I knew once I got in to the 4 inch area that I would have to do drive shaft mods. A friend of mine learned that the hard way.

I wont say money is no object because Im not loaded but I also wont go with anything cheap because I know you get what you pay for most of the time. I really just have to do some searching for a decent lift for a reasonable price. I would love to go 4 and be able to stay away from and body lift, so I know that runs the price up a little. Im mainly wanting to go with a stocky look.

Just getting back into the Jeep world and I didnt realize how much I missed it. Its kinda like owning a Harley.lol.

Terafelx 3" lift (make sure you have rear track bar bracket, bumpstops and rear sway bar links included), Get the front discos & steering stabilzer. I added 4 lower monster control arms, rear upper monster control arms, and adjustable front track bar (althoughwise you'll need to drill a new hole to reuse your stock TB). Add Bilstein or similar appropriated sized shocks and you can run 33s. My ride is great, no SYE etc required. Search hard and figure $1700-$1800 plus $550-600 labor if you need that.

Clayton 4in long arms from the start spend your money once and be done with it. with 4 inches you can run 33s if you dont like a cut off wheels 35s if your not afraid to cut a little bit or run tube fenders.
