Hey guys, first off; new to the site and thank you all for the welcome messages. haha now for the questions:
I have a 98 Wrangler- 35/30 axles, mabye a 3" basic lift with 33x12.50's.
1: I picked up a Ford 8.8 axle for free dollars and am in the process of finding someone to weld brackets on for a good price. My ?? is since i am going to be changing the front and rear to 4.56 gears, should i invest in a super 88 kit right now or will the stock 31 splines hold up okay with the 35's im going to buy?? I have a buddy that says he can get my gears swapped in the front axle and the 8.8 for around a grand. what can i expect to pay at a shop for welding brackets and is there any cheaper brackets out there other than the 400$ ones from MORE??
2: I do not scrub AT ALL with my current setup and tires.(the rims poke out way far so im assuming that is why i dont scrub) The only way i can afford to lift it any more would be to either just put a body lift and do some cutting or i could possibly afford the 6" long arm kit from Rough Country(but i know most folks dont like RC) but then im looking at having to get SYE and all of that. I guess my question here is body lift or mabye coil spacers and then i could definatly afford SYE and all that is involved with that. Would this be an okay route to take for just moderate off-roading?
I know it was a lot of writing, but i am kind of just sitting here staring at the jeep and really dont know which direction to go in with my current budget.
*oh yeah; working on getting a couple of pics up soon*
