A Mean Exhaust

Alright, I hate to say it but soon I will be needing to put some money towards a new exhaust. Mine is rusted pretty hard from the damn salted winter roads (Buffalo is a vehicle killer) and actually buzzes off the mounts when in gear. So considering I have some replacing and repairing to do I figure why not do it in style. Any input on a mean sounding exhaust setup that fellow Jeepers prefer? Right now its entirely stock but if Im putting in all this effort for visual modification its only fair that it sounds pretty angry too!

Mine isn't totally mean but it has a bit. I like the borla cat-back setup I have. Gives just enough of the plubb-plubb-plubbbb-bbbb when down, shifting coming to a stop. Can't really describe the acceleration tone, but its crisp with a bite, like I said.

"And then one day you find
Ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run
You missed the starting gun"

I haven't heard many jeeps that are stock with anything other then stock exhaust. However I very rarely hear any non V8 vehicles with duals that sound really good. Don't know what it is but a stock 4cyl/6cyl just sounds like a duck fart to me. I have seen high dollar import cars at the local drag strip with more horse power then most V8's and the still don't sound good to me.

I LOVE borla. Had it on all my v8s in the past. I heard it on a couple of jeep vehicles before but never a wrangler. Id like to...

I have a thrush cat back now and I like it alot. Its got a good mellow tone but loud enough to know I have an exhaust, good sounding deceleration too.

I have to agree tho, I RARELY hear duals on a 6cyl that I like and NEVER heard duals on a 4 banger I liked. Always sounds ricerish.

I have Magnaflow on mine. it sounds great. Nice deep note. not like the usual 4-6cyl (farting in a tin can) sound.

Random Guy: "Is there anywhere that thing cant go?"
Me: "Yea, past a gas station..."
