sure it takes time but a little bit of clean up and attention to the undercarriage and greasing goes a long way

I work on the gas pipeline right of ways so I have no choice whether it gets muddy or not, Mother Nature rules out there, but it does make for some fun times! Cleaning up is a chore tho but still no rust for an 01'!

I enjoy the mud, especially when there is someone totally clueless to what is about to happen to them!

Apparently, mud terrain tires will only take you so far.

Agreed. I sold my 99 TJ to an employee here a few months back when her 98 was condemned by our Service Department. The problem? Her boyfriend mudded with it all the time, and the frame flat-out rotted from the inside out. Her TC skid plate was held in by one bolt.

I took my 99 mudding one time, and vowed to never bother again for the reasons Jerry said. Picking up my new 06 on Monday...don't plan to mud that one, either. I am way too neurotic about Northeast Frame Rot Issues...
