Cooler with ice and water to drink. Take some ice and wrap it in a bandana around your neck or dip it in the ice water and wear it on your head. Ice will get you 10 degrees cooler then sweat will.

You could always buy a computer fan or two from Best Buy or Walmart. And I mean the kind that uses a USB. You can rig that up to maybe your stereo or somehow wire it. They run anywhere from 10 to 30 bucks and all you have to do is mount it to the grab handle on the passenger side and zip-tie it or even use metal clips or something that looks good. I don't have A/C either and I'm considering installing some little fans in mine soon.

Have your wife and girlfriends go topless, you won't mind the heat.

Have you tried taking the top and doors off. I find the wind(even if it's a hot wind) very cooling.

There are companies that make "cool" shirts where water is pumped through a cooler and into a shirt that you wear. Just a thought.

It gets really hot where I am too and I never use the AC.
We often have a week at a time of 100+ F in the summer.
I run 'shade style' bikini top and tube doors all summer - feels cool on the hottest of days.

Good question. My TJ doesn't have a/c. I just checked out jeep air. It's more expensive to have a/c in your car than your house lol. I think it's worth it if I had the money lol. No top and doors will just have to do for the time being.

I have the jeep air kit. Paid $800 to have it installed. Worth every single penny.

I live in Arizona and the high today is 115 degrees, and my jeep doesn't have AC, and I got no doors or windows with a bikini top and with that much wind it really isn't that bad, I actually enjoy my 30 minute drive to work everyday in the heat!

I have no AC in mime either, but 115 degree Arizona heat doesn't compare to even 100 degree Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana heat. The humidity makes it feel so much worse.

You don't want a USB fan. Voltage on a USB port maxes out at 5V. Go find a power supply of PC cooling fan. They run on 12V.

If you find somebody throwing out an old PC, salvage the fans.

x5. Try driving to work in a suite every day when its 90 and humid with no a/c. Sorry, but having the top and doors off just doesn't cut it. And I know some people on here just don't get it.

The last time I test drove any Jeep if the air did not work I did not buy it . To anyone that has a Jeep that did not have AC in when you got it that was the one that was on sale in the front page of the Sunday news paper for a great price and you got what you paid for the JEEP with AC cost more than the one you got so read the fine print in the ad . Enjoy your hot ride for the next 60 months look at the bright side 30 of them may be cooler .This reminds me of seeing a young couple buying a single cab truck with a baby in a car seat and one on the way guess mom will ride in the bed of the truck on the way home from the hospital.

Back when I was into cycles I made a 900 mile trip through boring ass nebraska in 105 degree temps. I stopped every 80 miles or so to top off the fuel tank, buy 2 bottle of water, drink one and dump the other down the inside back of my heavy leather jacket. With the sleeves zipped open it was like a very efficient swamp cooler for another 80 miles. Probably not practical in a Jeep though....

Not evrybody buys new rides. My Jeep didn't have factory air and it was paid in full on the spot. Not hard to do when its a 14 yr old ride. Some of us will NEVER buy any vehicle new. My wifes Toyota Avalon we got a couple of yrs old for almost half of what it was new. To me buying new is just foolish and financially irresponsible unless you can actually afford to buy it and not finance.

My Jeep was not new 2004 but paid for ON THE SPOT as you put it and true not every one get a new car or has bad credit and can not get a new one these day but as I got older I see that the bank and the car lot was making to much money off of me so. I paid off my car and put that same amount in saving to get my next new auto or used one paid for in full and have been do it that way for the last 16 years or so .
Not saying that for someone young just starting out that they may have to finance there first car but if the younger one would drive a older auto that may not look bran new and just drive some thing older and save up there money and have a good down payment to keep there note low so that they could pay more on the lone and that way they can save for the next one that they get and not .become a slave to a car note or the bank .
As older person I feel that we need to try and teach the younger ones how not to fall in to the game of being upside down and getting in a deeper hole .
Here what I did when my son was looking for his first new car I took him out to the junk yard some call them auto salvage and we walked all over the yard and I told him see son this is where a lot of new and old cars will be at some point .
He was like look at the rims on that truck and there not to much wrong with that one and on and on .
Long story short he found a used car he liked and paid for it in full and fixed it up with parts from the yard and is saving up for a newer one when he needs one .
I wish I would have had someone that would have show me a way to get a car and not go in to debt .
When the minimum wage was $3.25 a hour .
For those of you saying why did I not just buy the car for him here is why I have found that we all take better care and pride of some thing we pay for yourself.
As for my first post I was just joking around if I offended anyone in any way please forgive me I in on way wanted to do that and I apologize to anyone that may have felt that way .
That was why I said the part of the youn

Once more I apologize to anyone that I may have upset .

Do not know what year you have but I have found that Chrysler made some cars that they uses the same AC parts that they used in the Jeep ( I need the fan and tep control and found that the sea breeze was the same talked to the owner of salvage yard asked if I could take part of the bottom of the dash out to look at how close the air coil looked he asked me what I was looking for and he had a program to look up what would work from one make to another and he let me look in the car it was a match but he told me find out what the match is before you call the yard and tell them you are looking for a Jeep AC and tell them what car you need it out of or you will pay more for it when you say Jeep .
He joked and said when you say Jeep they think J (just) e (empty) e( every) p( pocket) good luck hope you get some cool air for a fair price
