AC Vents Leaking {a lot} of condensation

Because my Jeep always wants to keep things interesting for me, my 99 Wrangler, which I have owned since new, has decided to start spitting on me. The two AC vents in front of the center counsole, under the dash that blow on your feet have started "leaking". On the first 85* day my wife drove about 5 miles and came home and told me the floors were flooded. For once she wasnt exaggerating. You can get in, crank the A/C (which works well except the relay is out, so M2 doesnt work - all other speeds do) and within seconds a steady stream will flow out. I told my wife it was a new feature - water supply for the desert drives - but she reminded me we live in the foothills of South Carolina so she asked I remove this new feature.

Im sure something is just clogged somewhere. Anyone else ever had this issue and have any pointers on where to start looking?

Thanks!

Sounds like the AC drain is plugged.

I agree with Atthehop...check your AC drain. I know where it is on cherokees (we have to clean it out several times a year) but not sure where on the other jeeps since none of them have peed on us yet...I think I remember a thread about looking for an open ended rubber hose sticking out of the firewall down low on the passenger side? If you find it, run a wire coat hanger up it and see if crap comes flying out. If it does, you found it!

Yes, that's exactly where it is.

Just make sure to position yourself so the drain doesn't empty on you. I had one drain on me when I cleared it out with a screw driver lol!

Thanks guys. I'll get in there and see if I can clear it up...without...uhhh...sitting right under it (good advice).
