Actual tire size comparison....

Who ever goes through the trouble to help me out on this one gets a free round of the beer of their choice (the next time you are in Louisville).
I have read that the actual tire diameter measurement can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer to the stated tire diameter. In other words a 33" tire from BFG may be different from a 33" tire from GY. Now to the task that will render the free beer.
I would like to compare a 33" GY Duratrac to a 32" BFG AT KO. If anyone out there could take a tape measure to their installed tires and give me the actual diameter and width I'll buy the first round next time you are in town! Also, I am interested in the actual installed measurements of a 31" Duratrac.

Thanks!

Oh I can help and maybe you should come up this way to deliver my beer.... This is not a bad idea, but the variations in how each vehicle is equipped along with air pressure, wheel size and whether folks are measuring a tire installed on the Jeep or the spare will cause inaccuracies in your research.

My 33x12.5x15" Duratracs installed on 15x8" wheels measure 32" dead on, with 28 psi. No heavy equipment installed on the Jeep, soft top....

Good points InfernoGirl..... I'm on my iPhone so I can't see your profile to know how far I'd have to go to deliver the beer. It's a standing offer that won't expire, so if you are ever down this way, you'd better be thirsty! You have given me helpful advice on numerous past threads and I appreciate it.
I'm going to be installing my new tires (when I finally make a decision) on some 15x8's with 4" BS. I don't have any crazy mods but will probably end up with a winch (almost said wench.... Oops). I dint have a lift but may put a small one if necessary (1" or so to help with clearance). I can't afford a proper lift (I consider a proper lift as one that includes all the added mods to reduce the added stress to the drivetrain) but want somewhere between a 31 and 33 inch tire.
Alright, InfernoGirl gets beer.... Anyone else want to join us?

LOL Jolly, I'm in Newburgh IN.... closer than you expected! I saw a 2" BB on CL last week, mentioned it to Ageless stranger, but not sure it's what he's looking for. It was in Louisville... Better make it a case... I like beer, a lot!

InfernoGirl, you are running 33" Duratracs and 2" coil spacers with stock shocks? I think that is what you posted in the past. Do you have any other mods?

Yes, that's my set up. I trimmed the flares to help stay out of them offroad. It works for me. Not the recommended set up, but everyone's needs are different. I could stand longer shocks... The stockers bottom out pretty easily on bumpy roads and offroad. But for now it's like a ride at the fair...
