Adjustable Rear Track bar

Simple question for all y'all that have done more work with lifts and such.

If I were to buy a RE 1620 Adjustable rear track bar, do I need the RE 1603 bracket or will the track bar fit to the stock mounting hole?

I really do not want to have to drill the stock rear mount to attach the relocation bracket that came with my Zone Offroad kit and I already have the adjustable front track bar (thanks Allen!) so I do not need to drill the front mount.

I guess my question is, is it worth investing in an adjustable rear track bar when I already have a relocation bracket that my stock track bar will fit too? What would that do for me other than cost another 150?!

you need the bracket even if you have an adjustable rear track bar. otherwise the track bar binds on the stock closed top mount.



btw, you can do better. Go with this Currie instead.

Thanks.. So is it really even necessary to buy an adjustable rear since I only have 3 in. suspension lift and have the bracket already?

well, see if your axle is centered or not with the bracket. if so, cool.

however, if you do actually use the suspension travel & flex off-road you will see a difference by losing the bushings and going with a flex joint on at least once end....hence I linked the Currie track bar with Johnny Joints.

with flex allowed by the lift, the bushings wear out quickly (not designed for this much deflection), and the bracket is stressed more. Sometimes the bracket will crack or break, or rip the whole UCA/TB mount off the axle.
