Adjusting TC shift linkage ?

I think I need to adjust the TC shift linkage on my 97 TJ SE. Last couple of times of trail riding, I noticed that the 4wd light was no longer on and the selector had slipped back down to 2Hi. Especially, this winter I want to know the 4wd is gonna work when needed.

It seems like something I could do in the driveway, but I'm wondering will I have to drop the transmission skid plate to access the adjusting rod.

If someone can walk me through this, that'd be a great help. Just trying to save a little $$$ and avoid taking it to the shop.

thanks

That wasn't a difficult fix, thanks for the link. Now, 4High engages much sooner ,before pulling the level all the way back. Before, I had to pull hard all the way back for 4high, and the 4wd light would flicker. You can feel a positive engagement now, and seems to have corrected the problem. In fact, if I go all the way back, I have to go forward just a hair to get 4high engaged.

The only issue was getting my wife to hold the lever in the correct position while I tightened the nut on the linkage. The comments of "Are you sure you know what you're doing ?" weren't helping matters.
