Advice on the best lift for my dd.

I'm planning on lifting my dd 3" soon. Just wanted some recommendations on one that would give me a decent ride and wasn't to bad to install.

Depending on your budget, OME is great.

Have OME I looked at it as a long term investment--I am very happy/ satisfied with it.

I've never installed one before and I was reading alot of other people posting about having some issues. Would you say it's pretty easy to put in? When I order a lift does it cove with everything or are there separate parts I need in advance.

Most if not all need some parts. It would help if you could narrow down to what you are looking at or have questions about.

Just about everyone I have talked to the last few weeks has said a OME is best so that what I plan on getting. I googled some but couldn't seem to find a 3" just 2.5" for my TJ. The only reason I intended on getting a 3" was to ensure i had a decent amount of room for 33s. Should I be concerned about half a inch? Would a set of 33s rub on a lift that size? Will i need to lower the transfer case after I install a lift and will I need a steering dampener? How long should I realistically expect it to complete this job?

Like I said Iv'e never attempted something like this on any of my vehicles. I get plenty of advice from the guys at work about what I need but taking the word of someone that doesn't even drive a jeep let alone a 4x4 is kind of unnerving. The reason I have so many questions is like I mentioned before this is all new to me. Thanks for the help

no such thing as a kit that has everything. the closest one is the currie kit. it has everything but a sye. currie is the best around but ome is pretty good too.

Thats what nobody tells you! I just found out all of this after some research. My truck was lifted by the previous owner 3.5 inches and has a case of the vibes under acceleration. All lift kits above 2 inches should include a SYE, Driveshaft and rear adjustable control arms if you want to do it right. Again... if you want to do the job right. I am just learning about this stuff but I would listen to that ^^^ guy. Currie has a great reputation.

check out DPGoffroad.com for your OME kit. It comes with 2.5 inch ome suspension, 1.25 inch body lift and that'll fit 33's. It also comes with a Motor Mount Lift to stop vibes so no t-case drop or SYE needed (though you may need it if you still have vibes). It comes with something else (can't remember right now) that is vital. It should have everything you need unless you get vibes and need an SYE. Dirk (owner of DPG) is the guy to buy OME from, the kit you want is about 1500. I'll be getting this in the future, people have just been raving about Dirk and his products.
