Advice on what to do to my stock TJ

Hey everyone im new to the jeep world, and i just got my first jeep which is a 2001 jeep wrangler sahara. I was just wondering if i could get any advice on some of the first upgrades i should do to make it a better trail rider not intense but just a weekend thing to have a little fun. My parents bought me the jeep so i have about 2000 saved up to do what i want to to the jeep, thanks

Skid Row Engine Skid and some 31" tires with decent tread and you'll be good to go

Aussie Locker, front. My best mod to date.

Do it yourself and learn! Then, winch. Two things I use just about every trail ride...

Under armor, winch, front sway bar disco's or antirock and a good set or A/T tires. That'll pretty much wipe out your $2k.

I would have to say your location has a lot to do with it and what type of wheel'n you plan on . All the armor you could buy would be a waste wheeling in some places and a locker sucks in the snow for the most part. The best mod for one person could be a waste for another.

Well i live in north georgia so we do get snow quite a bit but most of it would be woods type trails and stuff, its not like im going to be climbing desert rocks, and im only 18 so its not like my parents are going to let me turn it into a rock crawling machine its also going to be my daily driver. Thanks

Hey guys thanks for all the info, really put into perspective that it isn't just all about the lift and the size of the tires like all my buddies say.
