Advise for an LJ lift

Hi,

I am looking to install a RE 3.5 Super Flex short arm lift on my '05 Rubicon Unlimited. I have a couple questions:

What is the advantage / dis-advantage between the standard super-flex lift (RE7000) and the same lift with upper adjustable arms (RE7000-3)? The cost difference looks like it is about 500-600 between the two.

Is a spacer necessary for the drive train? Should I also replace the SYE and rear CV drive shaft?

Any recommendation on replacement shocks? I use this rig on both the street and off road.

Thanks for your input.

Mark

The only advantage is adding the adjustable uppers in place of the stamped steel factory control arms. A spacer IS NOT necessary nor is a SYE or new drive shaft for the LJ due to it's longer DS length. RE has, at least in the past before their reaquistion, made fairly good shocks that provide a good ride on and off the road. I'm not sure about their current quality but I'd assume they're still the same.

I just picked up my 06 rubi lj last saturday and have been researching the same lift...it appears the re7000-3 comes with adjustable upper control arms which I believe are necessary to adjust the pinion angle....hope others will join in and help. I am not sure about the shocks....

Thanks for your response. I ordered the RE 3.5 Super Flex w/ adjustable upper arms, going with the matching RE shocks (which I am told are made by Blisten). I went a slightly different direction with the tires> I was set on 33x12.5 but would have needed to buy new rims. Opted to go with 285 75R16 Pro Comp M/T Extremes. We'll see how it turns out..
