aftermarket alarm issue

Hello, i bought a used 03 TJ sport and it came with an aftermarket alarm system. i want to remove the doors, but the only thing that's hindering me is the wire that goes from the door to under the dash. is there a simple way to cut the wire and add connecting things? i want take my doors off for the summer.

i'm a newb so i don't know much about wirings. if you can help me with instructions and parts, that'll be a big help. thank!

Is it the alarm wire? If so, it is likely a supervised circuit. Meaning, you might need to placea resister in the 1k to 2.2k range to satisfy the alarm circuit.

the wire that goes to my door is to lock/unlock the door. last time i checked, when my door was locked with the alarm system set, i tried openning it, and nothign went off. obviously i have a cheap system. i dont' like carrying around a huge remote, so i just don't use the alarm for right now.

so i think the wire is for locking and unlocking only.

alarm goes off when i open the door with the system on.

try cutting the wire. Worse case is all you have to do is put in a water tight conection. Its not like your gonna have the alarm on with no doors.
