Aftermarket frame?

Does anyone make an aftermarket frame for the TJ yet? I'm having a hard time finding a good frame for a 4.0L TJ. I've looked at a few TJ's and so many of them have very rusty frames. I found cheep TJ's that are in good shape with a bad frame. If I could find a frame I could pick up one of the cheep TJ's and with some work have a low priced TJ.

They make sections you can weld in but no whole frame. I even asked chrysler and they said they didn't make it anymore but it would have cost $3000 to get my hands on one if they did. Don't know why they told me the price when they didn't make it but no one ever accused them of being smart.

Seems like a good untapped market for them then.

Here you go:

Throttle Down Kustoms Hybrid Frames

Either that or start looking in Arizona for a frame.

I always see them on craigslist while looking for something I can't live without. I travel all over Florida, Georgia and Alabama for work so I look all over these states. I would assume they are solid or they wouldn't be for sale all the time. Heck if you see one send me a PM and if I'm able to I'll check it out for you.

I emailed them. They do make frames for 97-02 TJ for $3500.

That actually seems a good price to me, especially here in the northeast where good jeeps with bad frames are a dime a dozen.

For 3500$ that should be hot dipped galvanized. The yj and cj frames on 4wd.com are only 2800 for a dipped frame.

fly out to Arizona or Colorado, rent a uhaul truck, drive it back.

frames out here are only a few hundred bucks.

Example:
Jeep tj frame

These guys are expensive, but they have everything:

There is also Davey's in Ohio:

These guys also repair frame sections in the north east

Auto Rust Technicians - since 1977

Anyone have an idea as to why more companies aren't making these new? Don't want to even entertain the idea of shipping a frame from MT to CT. Throttle Down Kustoms is a bit far for me

Hi Steve,

Yeah, He has a 4 cylinder frame and I was looking for a 6 cylinder frame. I know only the engine mounts are different but I'm not a welder and don't want to bother with changing them.
