aftermarket head unit

I just bought an aftermarket head unit for my 1999 sahara and I got it all wired up. Double checked the wires and for some reason it is having a very strange problem. It is powering up and playing but it will only start playing though the speakers if I flip on and off the head lights. Sometimes I have to do that multiple times for it to come on. Anyone have any suggestions or have had this problem too?

I would say just pull it back out and make sure u have all of ur connections right. Make sure ur turn stereo turn on is wired correctly. I just did mine yesterday in my 98 Sahara and the only wire that you will not use your factory harness for is the ground wire. Everything else has a spot in the factory harness.

Do you think you could send some pics of your stereo?

Your radio has a lighting circuit power by the vehicle lighting circuit, clearly something is crossed there.
