What's the process to replace?

And thanks for the response

I tried serching the net for a replacment plug but could not find one, I cut the plug off and just used female crimp connectors with the plastic sheilding around them, been woring fine ever since, I would try playing with the plug and see if its melted, before you cut it off tho..

Mine was the fan speed switch, that started to melt. The blower motor starts to wear and pulls more current. The wires to the switch cannot handle the currrent so the switch melts. You can replace the blower motor, and switch, and this will stop it until the motor starts to wear again. I did the relay mod, and replaced the blower motor, and the whole dash unit. Now it will not melt the switch. Do a search on Relay mod, or melted fan speed switch.

Thanks guys.

Last year it quit blowing on high so I replaced the blower switch. Was like $20 from autozone.

Question tho, if it's melted would it work at all?

Mine would work on and off. sometimes a bump would make it quit, others it would just not turn on. I opened my switch and the contacts inside were burnt up. Thats why it would only work some of the time.
