Airbag/heater/ac

My driver Airbag Indicator runs through its cycle when first starting my 02 Sport. About 10 seconds later the light comes on and the warning chime goes off. While the Airbag light is on, the heater/AC fan speed switch has no power and heater/ac does not operate. After 2 to 20 miles, the Airbag light goes off and heater/ac can be operated at different fan speeds. I have run an ODB diagnostic and no codes are displayed from the vehicle computer. I have no idea what could be causing this. Need some input on what to check next???

Check the plug behind the cluster, notorious bad boy. Comes loose or corroded terminals.
Can cause all kinds of odd ball behavior.

Also the SIR coil, for the bags, in the steering column goes bonkers, it will set a light at times, and also can knock out the cruise, horn, turn signals among other things.

And all of this stuff feeds or is fed in someway by the PCM.

And let's not forget bad grounds in a jeep causing silly behavior. Battery terminal, cable to engine block/frame, cable from engine to body.

Nor the harness main block at the firewall, corroded terminals are a biggie on that one causing problems.
Bad/loose ground will cause items to back feed into another circuit to try and work.
