You know you can just not wire up the "keyless entry"

More importantly what you should be looking at is how the alarm systems react to not having doors? Most alarm systems when deactivated will rearm themselves if you don't open the doors in 30 seconds. Could be a problem when you don't have doors to open.

Ive got hard doors and dont plan on taking them off.Alao I thought since I wont be using the keyless entry portion of it why pay for it but I just might do that.Im looking at the Viper 1002 alarm.

Good luck finding one that doesn't have the keyless entry. Normally they use the lock command to arm the alarm. Any quality alarm is going to have that feature.

You know it isn't that hard to install door locks. Why not just do that. Some alarms come with the ability to run door locks on cars that didn't originally have them.

I have door locks and power windows on mine.

Somehow discussion of power door locks, power windows and keyless entry on a TJ seems out of place. As it is I think TJ is too much of a passenger car.

Yeah, I had to check TJrod's profile since he said he had power door locks/windows, I thought he must have had a JK. those things seem alittle out of place on Tj.

My friend has a Viper system on his YJ, it has the eng kill, hood switches, and motion sensors for inside the jeep so when doors are off- if someone reaches into the front seat area it will go off, and send a warning to the key fob. Talk to a local car stereo/alarm shop, they can customize a Viper system to fit your needs.

Are you saying that I will need working elec door locks to make the sys arm or can I just not have elec locks & use the lock button to arm it
If I did install elec locks then would I need to carry 2 remotes? One would be the remote that comes with the elec lock kit I installed & one for the arm/disarm that comes with the alarm?
