All it's cracked up to be?

I'm getting my exhaust manifold replaced on tuesday with an O.E. manifold.

Why?

1. It's cracked where the 4 manifold pipes meet.
2. One of the bolts holding it in was broken off by an unskilled moron.

I smell exhaust sometimes under hard acceleration. I'm getting it done regardless.... My questions are:

1. Will I notice a horsepower increase?
2. Will I notice a fuel economy (ha ha) increase?

Thoughts?

If you had really bad exhaust leaks you may get a hair better mpg due to there not being a disturbance in the air flow anymore. But don't count on it!

Make sure the O.E. header has the flex pipe in two of the headers. Torque of the inline six will cause "fixed" header to crack no mater the brand.

I don't have the inline 6. I have the inline 4.
