I hope this is a good sign of more for this winter. The snow we had came down too slow and got cleaned up too fast (about 5" but not much more than slush on the streets). I want another week like we had two years ago with two blizzards back to back. I had little bald tires back then and want to give my new boots a fun test.

I really think that this winter is going to be a good one, at least I hope so! What do you think about lockers and the snow? I want to go with lunchbox lockers but I heard that it's not a good combo on ice and snow???

I got hammered with a foot and a half. There was not much playing, but a ton of work. I was able to get my generator over to my parents house with my Jeep. It was really bad in the Lake Hopatcong area. My parents neighborhood had at least 8 BIG trees down. Across the road, on the wires, through the wires… JCP&L are hoping to have power 95% restored by Thursday.

Very bad idea.. When cornering, or even around a curve in the road, a lunchbox locker depends upon traction to unlock. on snow and/or ice, there isn't enough traction for the locker to unlock, therefore, both rear tires will be rotating at the same rate, breaking all traction, and you'll be off into the nearest ditch.... not a good place to be..

I got about 2 inches up in Vermont. Not enough to play in, and it all melted by noon.

I usually like to go through ditches but just not like that lol what about the limited slip lockers? Would those be the same? I just can't afford to get the really expensive ones but I'd like to be able to have it climb stuff and "be a jeep". I don't want to get stuck in a little twist ditch again hahahaha :-)

I'd hope we are all smart enough not to drive under a downed tree.
