Am I crazy

I was just told by a vendor that the upper door sliders made with cloth will not fit a hard top. I maybe mistaken but I thought they were all made the same. (full doors, half doors with of without the upper door sliders). Any comments.

ask him if he has a jeep... I think it depends what kind.. if you have a hard top you do not need door surrounds.. therefore the upper silder needs to be ones that sont need door surrounds.

As far as I know... unless it's some kind of aftermarket top the enclosure is the same weather you have the door surrounds or a hard top. The upper sliders should work either way unless they have some funky design.

That vendor is 12 years behind the times, the '95 YJ was the last Wrangler to have diffferent doors for hard vs. soft tops. All top and door combinations for '97 and newer Wrangler TJs are fully compatible with each other.

My 97 came with a soft top and I later bought a hard top and ran the soft top windows for a couple years. I now have a 03 and when I use the half doors the soft uppers work just fine! I don't think you got good advise.

Something Is Missing Here

I have a 99' TJ with half doors and the cloth aftermarket sliders. No issues what so ever...
