Am I missing something on my hood?

I have two holes on my hood and was wondering what was missing.

Thanks,
Rex

Lol, dont see why someone would want to take those off in the first place but at least they are cheap to replace.

Maybe to increase aerodynamics so they could get better gas mileage.... Or maybe to increase ventilation in the engine compartment? Who knows????

Welcome to the Forum T/M! Those are a dealer part and for most of us, one of the few useless features on the Jeep. I, for one will probabily never put my windshield down. But if you do, the little bumper thingies are pretty much necessary.

Stop it guys. Those are bullet holes. I suggest you check the tires for bags of smack hidden in them.

There are aftermarket ones around that are stainless steel including that loop in the center. The bumper parts are rubber but they have a stainless steel ring that goes around them, much cheaper than the dealer.

Aren't there hi-lift brackets that use those same holes for the mounting location?
