Nothing else is a Jeep............ Isn't that an old slogan? Never call the Jeep a "car", they get mad and start acting like a red headed step child...

It's a Jeep! Even my 3 year old son knows enough to call it that. After my lift and tire changes, my wife described my Jeep as "Majestic Redneck" ...and this IL farmboy is fine with that.

I wouldn't call my Jeep a car any more than I'd call an F-150 pickup a car.

It wasn't that many years ago that anything with the Cherokee's body configuration was sold as a station wagon. She probably grew up calling that body style a wagon or station wagon. I wouldn't let it bother me.

In the summer, when I say "let's take the Jeep" there is still some confusion between the CJ and the WJ. It's pretty clear this time of year what I'm talking about. Don't think my wife would even get in the CJ right now. She's a wimp, and likes things like a defroster. And heat.

But it's definitely "car" for the Honda and "Jeep" for the WJ.

We own 2 Jeeps. My Wrangler is the Jeep, the Grand Cherokee is her car. May not be right or proper, but it's her way.

A Wrangler is a Jeep

A Wrangler is a Jeep, a Cherokee is a Jeep, any other Jeep in today Chrysler line up is a car. Even those who pretend to be a Jeep (FJ Cruiser) just another car, (the Japs forgot the available soft top?)

Hey Ccain...

"Hey there big boy??? "

So, I agree... a Jeep is a Jeep, but I'm curious...I have learned that calling a Jeep a car can get you shot, but how do most of you folks react to someone referring to a Jeep as a truck?

I haven't seen anybody freak out over that one yet...lol

I don't ever say car. It's always YJ or JK, and the wife picks which one.

Its the jeep in my house. My wife's mazda is the car. Sometimes she calls my jeep her obsession, but mainly that is when she is mad at me so I don't think that counts....HA!
