It's your jeep do what ever you think would look good on it. Every ones wants and needs of their rig are different so try it and of you don't like it get rid of it. Expect eyelashes, underglow , and a big ass fart can muffler because those are inexcusable

The second is nice and I can appreciate the work put into it but to me it looks totally unproportionate (to the owner: sorry, opinions are opinions) as far as a road worthy vehicle is concerned. That looks like a purpose built rig, not a fun all around vehicle that can wheel (which be honest, most of us have).

The first jeep actually LOOKS like a jeep, a very nice one might I add, not a crawler. ALSO, try driving the second on the roads, which most of us do. I can tell you that New Hampshire, also not the only state, would laugh at you all the way to the courthouse if you tried to drive that. Maybe the laws are different in Indiana, but in a lot of states that'd be a no-go.

The guy wants ideas of how to make his VEHICLE, not trail/rock rig, more "aggressive". There are plenty of options out there that he can achieve that look without making it look like a life sized Axial AX-10.
That post was to give visual representations on aesthetics and how proportions relate to how we view something, not necessarily to scale. You're right, that first vehicle is your 'standard', cookie cutter modified TJ. Very bland and not very pleasing to the eyes, at least mine. The second vehicle is mine and not only does it not break any laws in its home state of Indiana, it drives better than any other 'standard' TJ I've ever driven. I'm not telling him to copy my Jeep....I promise, that wouldn't be a fun venture for him. I'm simply making known some details he may have otherwise overlooked. I could very easily find some smaller/less aggressive Jeeps that fit the mold I'm trying to describe.

Maybe in Indiana your jeep is a one of a kind but come to New York I've seen 3 like yours. Lifted no spare 2 with oe soft time 1 with frameless. No plastic flares and flat kind you have in the front. I love both of the jeeps you illustrated granted the first one should get a sye and maybe a tummy tuck but with all the thousands of tj there are going to be some duplicates. To each is own

I highly doubt that....And as for Indiana, you should see some of the unique rigs here. There's more than you would think. Go over to JF and you'll see a very strange pattern....outside of a few, the biggest, most popular build threads over there are midwest Jeeps.

I think you need to look at his Jeep a little closer. In the looks department, it's not my favorite, but I'll guarantee the Jeeps you saw that were "like" his, aren't anything like his.

This thread was about "angry eyes". Notice how Imped didn't post any pics of the front of his Jeep?

All internet social politics aside: This rig is by far the most in line with what I would want for mine. If not intended for pure function, or at least function over form, what would the purpose of a wrangler be?

Edit: Oh yeah, angry eyes: What exactly is the function of that again?

Obviously they aren't going to be exact replacas but they all have the same concept. I personally like the blacked out look of his jeep. And some angry eyes would probably look good on it too rotfl

. You caught me. But seriously, I like to take advantage of all of my headlights' output, not 60%. And thanks for knowing the difference between hard work and a fast back top.

Thank you, it's nice that someone can appreciate hard work to reach a goal. If anything, I've eliminated all of the stupid things Jeep did from the factory. That's a long list.

Thank you, black is simple and easy to touch up. If I saw a Jeep that was even remotely similar to mine, I'd make sure to tell the owner how sorry I felt for him due to all of the time and money spent on a stupid vehicle.

I like your rig man! It's awesome! It's not in line of what I'm looking for my rig but its nice to see different ways of building mine up! One mod from that Jeep one over here, thanks for your input!

Like I said, Imped's Jeep isn't my favorite as far as looks go. I'm sure beyond any reasonable doubt that's about as capable and well engineered as they get, though.
It would, however, look worse with tube bumpers, pocket flares, nerf bars, and "angry eyes". He probably wouldn't like the dash cover I made out of pink doilies, either.
Funny how that opinion thing works...

your jeep looks great but you wouldn't make it one mile in my city like that I had to put 7in wide fenders on my jeep just so the cops would stop pulling me over

When I think of "eyes" on a vehicle, I instantly picture a VW bug.

Whenever I see a Jeep with "angry eyes" I think of a VW bug.

Not want I want my Jeep to remind me of.

My 2 cents.

That completely and utterly sucks. I would not be in this hobby if I had to run 7" flares.

I run 5" flares. After the brake dust ordeal, I'm afraid to admit that I run flares that cover my tires to keep the side if my Jeep and my windows clean.

ill admit it looked better with the stock flares but its not that bad im running 10 inch rims so they come to the end of my flares but the cops around here think if you have big tires that your going to go out and do lawn jobs or tear up public land we have a bumper height law to

X2! New Mexico has very little automotive laws and doesn't do inspection. We don't even do emission tests unless you live in a city.
