Another blinker/hazard light issue.

Ok I know this isn't the first time this problem is mentioned but I am very confused with the answers given so maybe this time with my own post it will be more direct. I was going to post this question on answers.com where you pay someone to tell but after joining this forum and reading a lot from you guys I'm sure my problem will be solved.

I have a 2002 Jeep Wrangler X. I was having a problem with the left turn signal indicator staying on. I removed all bulbs upfront and replaced them. While replacing i noticed corrosion on both parking light sockets. Now after cleaning them I reinstalled them only to have a buzzing during any use of either turn signal or hazard lights. I ve don research on this and it is very confusing on how to narrow down what is exactly wrong. Is it the multifunction swith, the turn signal relay or could those parking light socket be causing the buzzing in my steering column?

SO, I have a similar issue on my 05' lj rubicon,
turn signal switch in left or right direction does nothing, no click, click, click? Hazzard switch produces a weird chatter every now and again when i play with it. If i barely move the turn signal switch, I sometimes get a quick flash on the turn signal indicator on the instrument panel and the turn signals themselves will flash on momentarily.
ps My stock fog lights do not work either??
headlights, brakes , high beam are good
All fuses good
Turn signal switch, combination flasher(ps where is it?) or ?????
I just got the jeep, and cant pass inspection with it...

Your Jeep takes power from fuse 13 to run the turn signals (the flashers draw power from fuse 9 when selected) it goes through a flasher that is common to both the turn signal and hazzard lights. from there it goes through the hazzard switch and on to the turn signal switch (so to speak). The stop light circuit also comes through the turn signal switch so it can select to leave one stop light burning while the opposite turn signal is being used. It sounds to me like you might have a bad flasher. (the buzzing noise) It should be under the dash on the driver's side. Kind of follow the wires from the steering column and you should be able to find it.

Haynes manual has it screwed above steering wheel column, another thread shows it just under instrument panel, what looks like just under the actual hazzard switch. Any Ideas where I can get the part?

Napa or any other auto parts store...the part is common to almost all cars. They just need to know make/model.

It is just a little round silver can that unplugs from the end of a wire harness
