Lightbulb another heater question??Gauge wire?

2000 wrangler. I fixed the switch for the blower fan speed. When i was in there i noticed that the wires were burnt and need fixed. Well i didnt feel like doing a wiring job that day and its been working fine for three months. It now quit working again. I have been told that they under amped the wiring for the heater unit. Ok HERE is my question, does someone sell an upgrade wiring kit? Or can you tell me what gauge wire to replace the stock with? PLEASE DONT TELL ME TO REPLACE THE SWITCH OR THE DOOHICKY UNDER THE GLOVE BOX...its been done, now i need to address the wire. tanks

I spliced in new wiring on my '97 TJ's fan wiring for the same reason. I don't recall exactly what the guage was but 14 gauge rings a bell... maybe 12 gauge. I'd probably go with 12 gauge which is a tad larger.
