Any experience with 4x4 group buy

Just wondering if anyone has bought anything from 4x4 group buy? I am pricing lift kits for my rubi and I really like their prices but the skeptic in me is wondering if I am missing something, like do they kill you on the shipping and handling or is it ligit. Thanks

Shipping was about $75 for a Rubicon Express Kit, fairly ridiculous if you ask me.

I knew their founder when he started that business maybe ten years ago. It's on the up and up and is a very good source for Jeep stuff.

When something weighs as much as an RE suspension, shipping costs are very high so trust me when I say they're not making any $$$ on a $75 shipping charge. It cost me $24 recently to just UPS a 23 lb. aluminum bumper that probably weighed 1/10th that of an RE suspension lift kit.

Yea 75 is a bit high but I would be willing to pay it for want I want. I seen they had a 4.5 re superflex with a tom woods driveshaft for 1500. Hell of a deal if you ask me

I know they aren't making money on it, but I was pricing kits, they were about even with the other guys. I probably will end up buying from them anyways, because the guy Jason (I'm told he's the owner) was so helpful.

You must not have any experiencing shipping heavy stuff or you wouldn't think $75 is a "bit high" to ship a complete suspension system.

This is who and the exact combo I went with when I bought my lift. Jason @ 4x4GB is a good dude.

If something takes long on delivery though, don't blame him, everything comes from the manufacturers.

Try a bit over $250 in shipping for Rokmen stryker corners. (thats about 1/2 the cost of the corners in shipping) I still cant get my head around that and its the only thing keeping me from ordering a set.

That's a bit excessive. TNT only wants $80 for some 3" flared front tube fenders.

No I don't ship a lot of stuff. Thanks for all the input. I was just curios cause I was pricing stuff through Re and it was much more expensive through them. For 1500 through them you don't get a sye kit and drive shaft too. I just wondered how they could sell it for so cheap

I'm guessing High Volume, Low Overhead. Sounds to me like stuff gets drop-shipped from the manufacturer.

I paid $175 for UPS Surface freight for my RE 4.5" LA suspension kit directly from RE.

i have dealt with them several times in the past and have been extremely satisfied. their customer service is friendly and knowledgeable, and their service is, imo, second to none. they do business a little differently than 4wd parts and quadratec, but it is in a good way. i would highly recommend them. if you have any questions, they will answer them honestly and steer you in the right direction.

I have spent a great deal of money there over the years. Always happy with the service. Jason is a great guy.

I had great service from them. When I called Jason because I thought something was taking too long, he called the manufacturer and got on their ass. The product was supposed to have been on backorder for an additional two weeks, and it got here 2 days after I spoke to him. Product in question: 33" BFG AT's. They were on national backorder for about two months.

I would not hesitate to give him my business again.

Yep, I have those same corners. I don't remember what I paid in shipping but Dave cut me a bit of a deal when I ordered new rockers and gas tank skid at the same time. Those corners are great. They're almost like training wheels because now I will literally lean my Jeep into a rock without so much as a second thought. The only down fall is their weight.

But for the original question, I have had nothing but good dealings with 4x4 group buy.

I ordered my Genright G3 tube fenders from 4wd.com last week. Got them Friday. Didn't cost me a CENT for shipping.

Yeah, rocker guards are next on my list. Well, that and cage work. Found a local fabricator who's going to do some rollcage stuff for me. I might be doing that stuff this winter though. Gotta have some cold-weather projects to keep me sane.....
