Any interest in a 54-56" wide Mercenary bumper?

Just doing a little checking around - Who would be interested in a wider version of our Mercenary front bumper?

It would have all the same features as our 46" rockcrawling version with integrated winch plate - just wider by 8-10 inches.

Our 46" Merc for reference.

You know Dave IMO the only full width bumper I like is the Smitty SRC. I suppose its because it rises to protect the fenders but isn't too bulky. I just don't like the gap between the fender and the bumper.
I like the Merc the way it is.

But thats just my opinion.

I don't like the wider bumpers myself
I custom built mine because I could not get one that looks like it in the size I wanted

my front bumper is 43" wide and I know I will be hitting it
I was hitting the stock bumper that I cut down and welded up which was 40" wide

sorry Dave, off topic, but with the Mercenary GT bumper, is the radiator hoop and support to stinger the only thing different between that and the regular Mercenary? just a Mercenary bumper with a welded on rad. hoop?

* oh, and i would not personally be interested in a wider version. the ARB bullbar crowd would be the people to buy a wider bumper, but those people buy ARB bullbars, so other than just offering as a custom option at a premium price (which usually still is not economical for you) i wouldn't bother. of the other companies that make the wider bumpers, i hardly ever see anyone actually buying them over the shorter version.

I have the longer version of the Jeeperman, and if I could do it again, I would have likely gone with the shorter version. Fenders got messed up anyway.

The Merc and Merc-GT are completely different bases - so not the same.

4point - we need to sit under the tent again, have a drink or two, and talk about that bumper you like...

If I can get my jeep out here this coming Monday I'll be there. I go home every other weekend so I will need to make arrangements to get it out here. I don't have a trailer yet, so I would have to drive it. 450mi in the wind can really suck.

How about a 43 inch version? I'm looking for something that just covers the frame rails.

Is it better to stay smaller in the front? other than looks, or is the wide bumper more prtective? I'm still stock up front with rubi caps.

My rig is no longer a DD. I still have the stock bumper on there because I have the lights on the front. However I have cracked both lights and bent the shiat out of the ends of the front bumper. My fenders are short lived for this world so I don't want anything sticking out past the frame to get in the way of my approach angle. For others this might not be the case and a good bumper can save your front fenders from damage. For me it's just in the way.

Cool just wondering it seems that alot of bumpers are real short on the front and I never knew why. Thanks Jack

i dont know i think i would look into a 54" bumper cause it would kinda keep the stock look but it would still give it an aggressive feel but i aint doin any rock crawlin so i dont need to go short so i see everyone elses side so for us that want a more agressive look i think we would look into it and you know if you eveer wanna have someone try it out for ya let me know cause i wouldnt mind haha
