I'm thinking of putting a Mr. Grille black ABS plastic grille overlay over the grill of my '97 TJ 4.0. Anybody have one with the black plastic? I'm not talkin 'bout the inserts, I mean over the entire grille. It's only $80 bucks and it would cover up a lot of the dings and rust spots!
By the way, my Jeep is a midnight blue, so I think it would go better on the dark colors than on, say, red. So if you have one installed can you put up some pics or anybody let me know your thoughts? I'd appreciate it.
Thanks.

heres what mine looks like. i got it from quadratec and it didnt fit perfect so i had to cut some of the plastic. just so you know it doesnt just snap on like the description says. if i had to do it again i would use roll on bedliner instead. if your looking for that look but want to be able to take it off it would work out great. if you have any questions feel free to ask:wavey:
i got mine to cover up the sanding spots from rust damage and to prevent further rock chipping.
Thanks Surfer...that helps a lot. I think we have the same color Wrangler which makes it even easier to visualize. Looks like we're going for the same look... Are those 33's with a 4" lift? Hard to tell from the angle.
Thanks again.
yep 4" lift and 33's. with the price of the grille thingy and a price of some roll on bedliner being about the same i would go for the bedliner. you would have left overs to paint bumpers with or whatever you want to paint. plus with the bedliner you will get a better protection from rust.
