Prep is key.

Prep wheels by degreasing, then slight roughing of surface with Scotchbrite pads, then rewash, dry, get loose crap off with tack cloth. Spray primer (1-2 coats light coats should be fine.)

Some people then rough the primer and tack cloth again, some do not. I don't think its necessary.

Spray color (3-5 LIGHT coats). Lighter coats don't give you runs, and will yield better finished results IMO.

Spray ~2 coats of clear.

Let it dry 24hrs after last coat before driving on them...to let the paint cure a little. I'd personally be careful for 3-5 days...depending on your weather.

Follow directions on spray cans as far as time between coats.

A good, lasting coat requires good prep work. oh and have I mentioned Prep work is key?
