Anybody running this?

Anybody running the Borgeson steering lower shaft on there TJ's. I found iit at rustys offroad and it says it will make steering tighter and more responsive. But its a little to expensive. I was thinking about it cause my steering is loose and doesn't feel tight over bumps on the road.

Check the simple stuff first like loose/worn out ball joints.

Jack the front of the truck up and put it on jackstands. Shake the tire and if there is movement the ball joints are loose and need replacing.

Just start replacing stuff... start from the left and go to the right.. eventually you'll hit it

Why waste $100's when it might be one ball joint or just one rod-end?

When i go over bumps the steering will shake not like I'm going to lose control of the jeep. It also likes to wander sometimes. I have checked everything track bar,tie rod, drag link and everything is tight. I think I'm just going to swap the whole front end with a HD steering system would this help.

Won't help if the problem is not in the "steering system" You need to find the problem first, don't waste money throwing parts at it.
What set up do you have? Is it lifted? what tires are on it? If it is lifted, do you have an adjustable trac bar? Is the alignment ok?

I have a 3" FT lift with 32" bfg mts, i do have a adjustable track bar and i have also had the alignment checked number of times and they said it ok. I could check the u joints in the steering column for play didn't think of that.

There have been few people reporting the FT track bar that comes with the kit is too thin and flexes easily. Perhaps thats whats causing ur problems?

I had a RR axle shaft that was bent. I was experiencing symptoms like yours, and they were dramaticaly better after fixing the shaft. Do you have a leaky axle seal, or one that just wont stay sealed?
