Anyone else have this problem?

It's like the title says and do you know why it's like that or what's causing it to be this way? The dimples in the rear corner panel are what I'm talking about and picture is attached.

Those dimples are spot welds. It would still be a good idea to clean up that little rust spot though.

Yeah working in getting all of those done but what would have been spot welded back there.

Right rear corner panel. The panel your taillight is mounted to. Those are just some of the spot welds that hold the tub together.

You can see them on my Jeep as well.

See what I thought it was, was the PO doing a bad job with body filler but he said he didn't use any and I checked with a magnet and magnet stuck to it. it's very sturdy there and doesn't sound any different than the rest of the vehicle when I tap on it. So my idea was wrong. I hope it's spot welds and not cancer lol have to much to deal with have little spots popping up all over the place

Looks to me like it was dented in at one time and hammered out from the inside. You don't have to remove the whole wheel well liner to uncover it. There is a push-in plastic retainer or two on the back of the wheel well extension to the body. The flat part (the extention) can be folded out of the way so you can have a see up there. Might want a small mirror and a good light.

Mine was rusted all the way through when I bought my jeep so I cut out all remaining rusted area and primed and painted the bare metal. Didn't look good having a big hole back there so that's when I purchased the fabtech rear corner armor
