Smittybilt 561035 - Smittybilt C•RES - Cargo Restraint System in Black for 97-06 Jeep® Wrangler TJ - Quadratec
anyone have this or something like it. i have a work truck so my jeep is no longer my dd so i only gets out when it is nice out. i do like the other cargo nets that you can put the hard or soft top on while they are on but i was wondering if anyone had any input to help me go one way or the other. thanks.

No but I was admiring those this morning If I had kids in the back it would be a must.

I was looking at this as well a while go. Its very cool IMO. But, you cannot run a soft top with it because it hooks under the tub, where the soft top windows would normally go. That is why I decided against it. Unless you dont run a soft top, then your good to go.
4 wheel parts has it for $99 shipped.

U just leave it strapped to the roll bar
Then the soft top folds right over
I think it does exactly what I want

funny, i contacted smittybuilt on this issue and they said no top while their CRS is installed. I spent considerable time checking these out making sure i got what i wanted and if you want to use your top with this system installed you need the webbing type that attach to the roll bars, not sit on top like the soft top does-beleive it also uses some of the soft tops attachment brkts. i ended up getting a barely used, 3 peice set(top/sides) off ebay cheap. if you want to be able to use your tops you have 2 choices-the 1 peice wrap around type(covers sides/back) or the multi peice ones that have seperate panels(top(can have front and back) and the sides)
my jeep is my DD and living where i do i don't trust the people and can't trust the weather and i didn't want to have to keep swapping the top/netting all the time-wanted a system that worked with each other-all this just to keep the stupid ankle biters from jumpinf/falling out at 50 mph.

Well here she is with only the net, then the next picture is me stuck with the windows off but the net still fastened to the roll bars. If i want to run that setup with my dogs, I roll up the rear window and the net rear window can get tucked in the tub channel. Hope this helps, its sweet you'll love it.

ok, see that you can leave it with the top on, but also see it's loose at the bottom. running in sufari mode doesn't it flap around in the breeze? since that would probably be the way i run the most w/wo dogs i don't think i'd want it loose like that-kinda defeats the whole purpose.

raingler nets.. full system.. google em.. they are a bit more pricey than the smittybuilt system.. but IMO are way worth the extra cash.. i picked up the 4 piece set used for 150.. they attach to the roll-cage and can be ran with or without a soft or hard top without any adjustments.. also.. the system i have covers the top of the front also.. not just the back seat.. not to mention.. my wife and i use to lay up on top of it like a hammock (supports up to 400-500 lbs, only tested with just under 300 on my jeep) the 4th piece that came with my set is used to keep my 5th tire strapped in the back (took the backseat out) and can also be used to separate the front and back seats (great for dogs, used it like that until my mom got rid of my pit)

I use it with the safari top because nothing will be loose in the wind. Seems like using it with the soft top would be a pain. But if it works for you great! there is another restraint system out there where you can pick colors etc. It attaches to the rollcage and not the soft top rail like the smittybilt. A little more pricy and prob better quality so if you want to use the soft top I'd do that. Unfortunately I don't not remember the name of the company. There is a thread on the forum somewhere that shows it. Maybe somebody will join this thread and give you the company name. Hope it helps let me know of you need close ups.

there is this one-they come in colors and different styles(more panels)
Jeep Wrangler TJ Cargo Nets Netting NEW BLACK + HANDLES | eBay

there is also another 1 peice, wrap around model
'92-'06 Jeep Wrangler One Piece Wraparound Cargo Net | eBay

they also have the smittybuilt one pretty cheap
Cargo Net NEW DIRECT FIT Jeep Wrangler PART CAR AUTO | eBay

i actually bid on/won the 1st(deluxe model) one on a best offer sale but they didn't notify me and i ended up winning a different 3 peice used(barely) for 1/3 the price

I love my C. Res I get a ton of compliments on it and I don't have to take it down when the soft top is up you just pull it out of the tub channels and put the soft top in place.

heres the raingler nets i was talking about.. i did a search on google for "raingler nets" and my jeep was in like the first 10 pics 3 in the first page.. i feel special

they attach only to the roll cage and no need to undo it in any way shape or form to fit a top over it

sorry for crappy pics but thats all i can do for you

funny, just found out mine are raingler when i put them on today. mine do the sides and back-not bad for $66. been a busy couple of week ends even with easter on 1 and a confirmation on the other. got my engine and tranny fluid changed, new(cheapo)speakers in(better than the 13 yr old factory ones that were there), got the netting and soft top on, and the CJ retro mirrors on.

and my xmas shirt i'll be able to wear soon
