anyone painted stock rims?

im thinking about doing it, and just want to see some pictures

what rims do you have? i have yj rims on my tj. i painted them black a few years ago and they look pretty good. i can't find a pic, i'll have to take one tomorrow.

Mine look like turk's except not as shiny. Looks better than stock silver IMO. I'll try and get a picture tomorrow.

do you have alloy or steel rims if alloy tou need to bead blast them then prime them with an aluminum primer and if they are steel you could just prime and paint but you would be better off if you sand blast them and then have them powder coated and if you choose to paint them you still need to sand blast prime and then paint especially if you will be taking it offroad in mud

Was thinking of doing this myself, have what I think are called the "canyon wheels" on my 02 wrangler - 3 of them look pretty good for their age, but one has some pretty serious pitting and damage in the center, was thinking of going black.

Any thoughts - jeep is sienna pearlcoat...or purple as my 5 year old daughter calls it!

i personally would keep it stock, black or any variations of grey im not into crazy color rims
