Anyone put 16" rims on TJ

Just curious if anyone ever put Grand Cherokee 16" wheels on their TJ? I'm kicking it around as an option for winter beater wheels. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

What kind of Grand Cherokee? The newer Grand Cherokee's (WJ's and WK's) use a different bolt pattern, so unless you are using a wheel spacer/adapter, it won't fly.

16" wheels come on the TJ Rubicon and will fit just fine (Moab's).

I've used my brother's 16 in. rubi rims with no problem. If the bolt pattern are the same you shouldn't have a problem either.

Thanks for the advice. I'd been looking at the 97-98 Grand Cherokee wheels.

Isnt that what you're trying to avoid? with the wrong bolt pattern thats exactly what it will do...

Let me see if i can dig out a thread for you that i saw last week w/ wheel compatibility for many vehicles.

That's the point I was trying to make. Now for a 97-98 GC (ZJ), I THINK they may be the same bolt pattern, but I'm not 100% certain on that.

Let my Grand Cherokee knowledge shine through. Haha. Being that I was a ZJ man myself from the start I can tell you that the ZJ was produced from 93'-98', in which all Grands used the same bolt pattern we have on our TJ's. Any wheel you find on a Grand Cherokee 99'+(WJ) will be a 5 on 5.5". So if you can find the wheels you want from a ZJ than go for it becasue it'll fit your TJ.
