Anyone with experience with cargo nets?

Hey I am looking into cargo nets, I really don't want to break the bank. I found this website Jeep Wrangler Cargo Pet Dog Net Nets Netting :.

They seem to have really good prices, however I am worried about the quality. Anyone have any experience with this company.

How is the quality?
Does it keep dogs in? I only ask because it doesn't seem that the bottom of the cargo nets are attached to anything. Is that common on all nets?

Any help is welcome and appreciated.

Thanks again.

Look at the Smittybuilt C.R.E.S. net, (I think that's what it's called) Lots of folks have them... And there are some others that I can't think of right now..

I am glad I am not the only one who noticed that and complete laughed

I pictured a crook walking up to the car and thinking "Blast! what is this force field with wholes in it that is preventing me from access to the car? Lets see I can simply reach through the big holes or maybe just unlatch the velcro or even just cut the straps. Hummm screw it to much effort and thinking."

The problem with the CRES, is that you cannot use the hard or soft top with it in place. The ones that attach to the roll bars, can be left with the tops. If you are looking for the heaviest, look at Ranglier. If you are looking for basic, there are a number. I have Special TFX from ebay when I load up the rear with camping gear.

I have the Smittybilt CRES and I love it. It keeps my dogs inside the back without fear of them getting out. There is hardly any noise above the normal of being topless and the fit is great. I use mine from pretty much March thru October when it starts to cool off. Then the soft top goes on.

Hey guys,
I was looking at smittybilt CRES cargo net got a quick question bout it.
I have a TJ and have an after market sound bar on it. Was wondering if that cargonet will fit on without requiring a lot of changes to that.
also does it go over the soft top frame or would need to remove the softtop frame?

Thanks
Jeegar

The CRES fits over the roll bars, not the frame. As I stated above, why use the CRES? You have to remove it to put the top up. Get one of the other ones that attaches to the roll bars and not the tub.

Hey I ordered those nets and it was a miserable experience... Terrible quality, and the cheapest possible materials- plastic hardware that breaks if you try and tighten the nets, they didn't come with any instructions, and customer service was a total joke. Bought them off Ebay because thats where they list them for the cheapest price, and returning was a total pain. Finally got most of my money back.

The coverage is also ridiculous, I have three dogs from 25-60 lbs and I have no doubt that if I left them in a parking lot relying on those nets they could get out if they were motivated to. I'm thinking about picking up a CRES and running it during the summer, then getting a barrier net through raingler, aspen, or safari straps. They all seem like pretty high quality.

I have Raingler nets for mine and they are super solid. Well constructed with metal latches - no plastic here!!! VERY nice.
