It's hard to say if your ARB would fit into his rear axle Lorie since the two of you could/probably have different rear axle types. What is your rear axle type (Dana 35 or Dana 44) and what is his axle type (Dana 35 or Chrysler 8.25"). A Dana 35 differential cover is perfectly oval & an 8.25 is a little flatter on the top & bottom. They'd have to be the same for your ARB to fit his rear axle.

Hey Jerry-thanks..I have a Dana 35. Throwing a 8.8 with ARB into her rear in a couple weeks. Along with a Tcase, 4'88s, Metalcloaks, bling axles w/ super U Joints in front with Warn locking hubs !

The 2 compatible? 99 rear and my Dana 35..ARB work?

Whether your old Dana 35's ARB air locker will fit into the '89 Cherokee's rear axle depends if it is a Dana 35 or Chrysler 8.25, both were used. That is why I included the axle identifier photo.

Thanks Jerry. So the only way it'll work is if he has a Dana 35 or the other?

Yep, his rear axle must also be a Dana 35 for your ARB to fit his rear axle. Your Dana 35 model ARB locker would not fit if his rear axle is the Chrysler 8.25 instead.

ARB is case specific.. so if he has the same axle then it should fit. however most 99 cherokees I have come across have the 8.25 axle. Which is a decent axle.. 29 splines upgrade to alloy for about 200 bucks and run 35's locked on it. (have one in my cherokee)
