Question Are my tires safe for highway speeds?

I just bought a very nice 02 wrangler (4.0L 5spd manual) only 23,XXX miles.

It has what I believe to be mud tires installed on 16 inch rubicon rims. I know nothing about tires I'm hoping someone can help me decipher the codes written on the tires.

Goodyear wrangler MT/R
LT245/75 r16
120/116p

the tires that were on the front of the jeep are noticably worn down on one side. I have since rotated the tires and had it aligned. The tires produce a lot of road noise but after the alignmet and rotation things are a lot smoother. My mechanic told me that after a while the worn tires that are now on the back would even out and so long as I continued to rotate the tires and make sure things were aligned, excessive road noise would decease.

I believe that the jeep is lifted with 3 inch coil spacers, but I'm not entirely sure,(I'm new to the off road/ big tire stuff obviously) everything else appears to be stock.

Given the supplied info.... Do you guys think I should be able to safley travel on the freeway for a couple hundred miles and back for a concert on Saturday? Btw oil is fresh, fluids have been checked and my mechanic found the vehicle to be in exceptional condition mechanically. He just didn't know much about the tires as far as performance on the highway etc....

Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure all is well I just want to hear some feedback....just in case I'm missing something

Those look a lot better than my MT/Rs! You won't have any trouble at highway speeds...

X3, your MT/Rs (an outstanding tire by the way) look better than mine. Nice Jeep, it has a 2" "budget boost" which is what those spacers are on top of the springs.

X4 they will be fine on the highway all thought they will not wear as well as an A/T or H/T tire will.
