What exactly is certified ? You jumped in here and started contradicting common TJ Jeep knowledge. And did it in a condescending manner. We're all here to learn and teach. I don't think you will convince any of us to run out and change our original clutch at 74,00 miles. We know better.

Honestly Hookusspookus, this is a pretty good little piece of the web.

Alot of knowledgeable people helping each other, yes some may not know as much as others but we all try to help. I have noticed since you became a member you have beat down others thoughts with the "I am a real mechanic" I was born with a wrench in one hand and a bottle in the other.Woopty Doo, glad you are. I would rather take the advice of someone who has proven time and time again through THOUSANDS of posts and years of practical experience to be knowledgeable on the Jeep platform. Than someone who may have passed a class or two to become certified. You only have 48 posts, most have been flaming and trash talk. It really is a waste of everyone's time. We are all just Jeepers trying to learn more, and help others out. Nothing more nothing less

OH and by the way Caveat emptor, or "Buyer Beware" is the property law doctrine that controls the sale of real property after the date of closing. Maybe you could get certified in Latin next.

Why would you waste yours, and our time posting this so we can read it... Any one on this forum should know that most the info is from practicle experience, and not a mechanic. If you don't like this forum, don't use it... Simple... I love this forum, and without it would be lost a lot of the time on simple things. So before you go bashing somewhere, remember what your mommy should have tought you when you were younger. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!

I'm registered and permitted...but not certified. I also know Latin much better than you.

You are certifiably making an Stultus asinus out of yourself.

we need a vote to lock option.

Maybe Captain knowledge should try his hand over at Pirate4x4.com since we are all morons. I'm sure those guys would appreciate his help more than we would.

Sounds like someone (the OP maybe?) is trying to justify a reason that some "certified" mechanics over-charge for simple repairs.

I'll take practical, first hand knowledge over schooled learning any day.

Oh, and besides the OP needing a Latin class, maybe they should take a grammer one as well!!

I drove my YJ to 200k on the original clutch and it was used with the original clutch when I got it. My 04 TJ has over 91k on the original clutch.

Plus my dog license certifies me to fix my own vehicles with advice from this site.

Ok. Thanks for sharing. Um, ordinarily I try, (hard as it is sometimes) to be polite on this forum. So I'll just leave it at that.
