Question Armrests

Anyone try any of the after market armrests that attach to the door pull handle? Thoughts, opinions?

I had them on my 94yj with full metal doors and they helped when cruising the highways. My 04tj has 1/2 doors and they would be useless.

I put in a set of these for my wife because she didn't like the fact that there were no arm rests. I really don't care that much for them. They are the only mod I've done so far that I wouldn't do again if I had it to do over.

I got them on e-bay for 21.50 plus shipping.

Do they get in the way so to speak? My wife has seen them in one of my jeep catalogs and asked if I would get them for her. To me there doesn't seem to be alot of room between me and the door panel. Adding them would only make that worse.

I have a set on mine, and like them. Good on long trips.

The one on the drivers side doesn't get in the way at all, but it doesn't do anything for me either. I tend to rest my arm on the window ledge when I drive. It it were in the way or annoying at all, I'd take it out. It's just one on those "meh" things for me.

Thanks for the info. I'm still not sure I would care for them to much myself. Probally wouldn't use them either.

What good are they in the summer when the doors are in either the cellar or the garage....

I like the arm rest. I do rest my arm more on the window ledge but I do use the arm rest also. Also, I just did not like the look of the pull strap nor the feel. I'm a big guy and i don't think the arm rest is in the way at all.
