Auto LJ Tranfer case shifter Help

I have a 2005 LJ I6 with an auto transmission I am having an issue with the 4wd shifting it does not see the 4hi when I adjust it and it feels as if it does not go into 2hi. I have seen suggestions of adjusting the shifter(something I have not done) but can not find a walk through I read the words but cannot follow... call me dumb but I need to see how to do it. I may have bent something and cannot tell(had a few rough shifts) and I do not even dare to try getting it in 2lo again.

and yes I would love to think about what novak to get I just do not know what transfer case is on the Auto LJ

any help would be great.

V

I would definitely suggest going to a cable shifter.
Novak CAble Kit for 231 & 242
NV231 is in the 2005 non-Rubicons.
