Not to change the subject, but, has eneybody had a problem with their auto slippen? not to long ago lost my tranny line. made it home(with the uses of all three cans of spare tranny fluid) fixed the line. now it slips in high gear. whatup

Could just need its bands adjusted which is a fairly minor procedure... at least it is if it's done by an honest tranny shop.

When you have a choice, buy American.

i've got both not having to worry about shifting is nice on the road, but off road i like a manual better, i feel like i've got more control. you just have to be careful when fording through water holes with sand at the bottom. if you keep the clutch open too long sand will pack in and the fingers wont close. you will lose the ability to shift until you get the sand out. this is a more common problem in tj's than cj's. just remember 1st gear, 4 low and walk through. dont gun & run that only works in mud
