Automatic car wash

So has anyone ever taken their jeep with a soft top through an automatic car wash. I've never tried it. Seeing as how it's like 20 degrees out here I don't get many chances to wash all the salt off my jeep. Was just wondering if the plastic windows hold up to the high pressure hose. My guess would be lots of water in the jeep.

The top and plastic windows hold up fine to everything in an automatic car wash except when there are spinning bristle brushes present which can ruin the plastic windows. But if your car wash doesn't have those spinning bristle brushes at window height, you're good to go.

Really?! The high pressure water doesn't come blasting through the seals around the doors?

Mine comes in through a little bit in a few places but it is definitely worth getting that salt off your Jeep.

I think it says somewhere in the owners manual that the soaps that are used in the automatic carwash are not good for the soft top, maybe it was the windows. I could be wrong but I am pretty sure I remember reading that somewhere.

There is nothing in the soap used in a car wash that will harm the top or windows. Not to mention I got my first car with a convertible top & vinyl windows in 1971 & have been having them washed in car washes ever since. And not to mention all the convertible Mercedes Benz SL owners would be up in arms if car washes harmed their convertible tops or vinyl rear windows.

I bought a new best top about two years ago. So hopefully it holds up.

The only place I get water is in the slider windows. And only during the high pressure rinse.

How about the high speed drying fans? The ones at Mike's Car Wash in my area are pretty serious. Has anyone had them do any damage to the soft tops?
